What happens when you combine your favorite superheroes with the modern art style of the 1950s? You get “modHero,” an awesome series created by artist Rogan Josh. According to him, the artwork is a result of “A design experiment overcome with fanboy hormones.”
His use of simplistic shapes, bright colors, and subtle texture make each piece look like they came out of that bomb shelter your great-uncle built in 1957. When you see great stuff like this, you wonder if maybe it wasn’t so bad growing up in the 50s. Then you snap back to reality and remember they didn’t have iPhones or Chevy Cameros back then… major bummer.
This is just a quick peek at his extensive series, so make sure to check out all of the great work on his website.
